Global Cement: In discussion with WKE CEO, Ian Jones

Our CEO, Ian Jones, was recently interviewed for Global Cement Magazine’s ‘In discussion’ section.
In this two-page feature, to be found on page’s 36 and 37 of the title’s print edition, he speaks at length about WKE and our solid recovered fuel (SRF) pellets, which make a perfect alternative fuel for heavy industries such as cement, steel and power.
By using our product to lessen their reliance on fossil fuels such as coal and natural gas, these industries can reduce their carbon emissions and environmental impact.
Ian is questioned on the specifications of our pellets and how they are made, then about the construction and commissioning of our brand-new plant in Middlesbrough.
He then discusses the subsequent market reaction, which has been overwhelmingly positive. Cement manufacturers, particularly, are beating a path to our door to find out how much we can supply, and when.
Finally, Ian goes into our expansion plans, which include additional plants in the UK and overseas.
